Cake Care

Allergens

Please inform us of any allergies when ordering.

Whilst every effort is made to make proucts free from allergens where required, we cannot gurantee any product is 100% allergen free due to the risk of cross-contamination in the kitchen.

All products are made in a kitchen that handles WHEAT, MILK, EGGS, NUTS, PEANUTS, SOYBEANS, SULPHITES.

Any allergens present in products will be noted on the collection card or stickers on boxes.

Travel

Please ensure your car is completely cool for the journey home and avoid keeping the cake in the car for longer than it takes you to get to the desination.

Cakes need to be kept flat, the passenger footwell or in the boot with a non slip mat are the best places - NOT on a seat as this may cause the cake to slide.

Hold the cake box from underneath and distribute the weight evenly. Avoid squeezing the sides as this may damage the cake.

Storage and cutting

Buttercream cakes need to be stored in the fridge, away from strong odours or flavours. Please allow the cake to come to room temperature before serving.

Fondant cakes do not need to be refrigerated but kept in a cool place away from heat and direct sunlight.

We recommend that cakes, cupcakes  and other treats are eaten within 48 hours of collection as they are all fresh products. Any leftover cake can be frozen in slices for up to 3 months.

Any dowels, sticks or non edible items will be noted on your collection card.

The best way to cut cakes is in a grid style pattern in order to maximinse portions.
